Z4 roadster required for national magazine photoshoot

Is there a BMWCCGB member with a z4 roadster who's interested in having their car featured in a national magazine photoshoot? The shoot would be at the Chobham test track near Woking and would take place sometime early in May. The feature will focus on four affordable and dynamic summer roadsters - Toyota MR2, Vauxhall VX220 T, NIssan 350Z and the BMW Z4 Roadster - will a detailed buying guide on each car. It's for a regular feature in the magazine, and follows a pretty straightforward format. The mag needs a clean Z4 example to shoot and drive - there will be no mad sideways antics in privately owned cars. The shoot should take up most of the day.

Let me know asap by pm if you're interested :thumbsup:

what happened with the coupe topic?

CAR magazine chose the blue coupe offered up by jonboxall. Apologies for not updating the original thread. I haven't heard how the day went but assuming that all went well given that the magazine have now asked for a roadie :D

///m roadster allowed?? :lol:

They haven't specifically excluded the ///m however it might not pass the 'affordable' test (and might not be a fair fight!!) I'm happy to submit ///m volunteers and let the magazine choose the most suitable candidate

I think if we're sending an ///MR, we should send Beedub's. His is probably the slowest on here and will be more competitive with the MR2....

(Snigger snigger!!)

Leave my future car out of this :evil: :lol:

Great response from z4-forum once again, thanks :thumbsup:
I've got 6 candidates so I'll close the list for now and submit it to CAR and see which they'd like to use. If none are suitable then I'll open it up again and be more specific with criteria.

Well... was considering keeping quiet that I was selected & just let them appear in CAR magazine, as the photos I took are likely to be pants compared with the professionals.

Fab day out, bit of waiting around though with the new Mclaren's being donutted & screaming wasn't that much of an ordeal. Some of you may have caught a glimpse that I got to drive one of the last MR2's (bit gutless once you get to 80) & a VXR 220... which wasn't.

Here's a couple of pics of the day (no pics of Mclaren's allowed), so here's a Forum thanks to Ben the article writer, Rich the photographer & of course MyRedZed for giving me the opportunity in the first place.

Mr2 might be a bit gutless past 80 BUT nothing compares to that motorised roller skate feeling.
Looks like you had a fab day, when is article coming out ?

Your prize Carol is a kiss from Bing who should have been there bit couldn't.

As for the MR2 dizzyblonde, the snake section really unsettled it & back end went very light a few too many times more than I liked, though raw / basic as it was the VXR was quite a thing to play with & might even go so far as to say better than an Elise (though felt the brakes on my Zed are much better)

Article likely in a couple of months... dreading this only coz am not the most thorough at car cleaning... we'll see
