Z4 on a budget

Hi All

I recently decided I wanted a toy to play with and after considering a Z3 and an SLK I settled on a Z4.
Now I am on tight budget as this will be a third car so shopped around and got this for just over £2k.
It's a 2004 2.5 with 75000 miles on the clock and a May 2017 MOT and no advisories.
The catch , it's previously been written off , is neglected and needs some work.

I will over the next six months ,go through the car and strip ,fix, clean or replace hoping to be all in for around £700.

Currently I plan to
Replace outside temp sensor
Polish headlights
Clean interior ,currently dirty but comes with sports seats in good nick
Strip,clean and paint all brakes
Have the wheels refurbished
Replace broken clips etc
Mop and polish all paint work
Have a couple of parking dents removed

I will try and take photos as I go and regularly update.

Thanks for looking

Great little project and should make a nice car and at about £3k all done will be amazing value

Good luck to you, this should be an interesting series of posts I luck forward to reading how you get on. I love the red colour, you don't see many of these about.

A great find. Worth £2k for the boot spoiler and the whippy aerial alone!

If you use Marlon's as the benchmark for a red roadster you won't go far wrong.

Enjoy :driving:

Sounds like a bargain way into Z4 ownership, and I love the colour!

Looking forward to the updates.

Good luck with your quick flip for £700. I got bucks on it wont be as cheap as you think, if you do it right.

Most of us that buy these cars know it is not going to be. Most of us dedicate the time and cash to get them back to par, or a little bit above.

Good luck.

welcome, i love projects like this- the sports seats are worth half what you paid for the car almost so it was a bargain for sure
