Hey Guys,
I'm a newb to the forum, but first I'd like to send my warm greetings. I am not a Z4 owner, nor have I ever owned one. Recently (4/7/10) I took out my father's '08 Z4 for a spin on some local winding roads and flipped the car about 5 times after launching diagonally off an embankment on the entrance to an S-turn. I managed to take out a telephone pole and damage the car on all sides. However, there are still some good parts attached to the chassis of the vehicle and I am looking for anyone interested in what I have now a heap of metal and plastic lying in my driveway. My father is making it my responsibility to get rid of any parts anyone else may want/need, and I am willing to negotiate reasonable prices on any parts coming off the car. I'll come up with a list later, but my father wants to keep the engine, tranny, and wheels for his X3.

P.S. I am located in Southern California, which may be a problem for some of you BMW owners, but all parts requests are welcome! I am willing to figure something out.

#1 Any chances the seats are RED and SPORT VERSION? Thanks!

#2 Also, does it have the GPS system? That could be a little complicated to take out all the parts (flip screen, head unit, DVD charger, antenna, wiring harness, bits and pieces), but I can help you with. I'm in San Diego

Someone might be interested in an extra tow hook. Good that is was used so the car would not be damaged... :P

haha yes, i'm pretty damn sorry I chose to take the car out that night...

the seats are not red or sport version, and the passenger side is a little bent up. Driver's seat is still in usable condition. I don't think anything on the car is Si, and there is no GPS system in the car. I have a Garmin, maybe circa 2003, say 75 bucks? lol

I'll look into the tow hook, I'm sure its still usable.

Some other random parts I came across:
tail lights
driver's side foglight fixture
driver's side Headlight? (still in question)
driver's side door (little scratched here and there, and the airbag deployed, but maybe good for a project gotham Z4?)
trunk moldings
battery box

I'll keep adding to this list and try to make a master list every time I repost.

SOLD. I also have a Z4 Strut tower bar, if anyone is interested. Was not installed on the car when the accident happened. Perfectly good condition, not sure which years it'll fit, if not all. SOLD.

The above strut bar is the one that was involved in the accident. The lower one is just an extra we had lying around, unused. SOLD.
 
hahah well considering the fact that I took out a telephone pole, and that the damages are looking at 40k+ to SDG&E and AT&T, I would recommend putting your kids on insurance, just in case

It might sound interesting but if it has a regular aluminium decoration in it I would need the one which is around the gearbox if you know what I mean ( can you give me a price on it incl. shipping to Hungary Budapest)

Surprisingly, my father has been quite understanding about the situation. I'm 22 going on 23 years old and i drive a 96 EK honda civic hatchback. He told me he felt like an asshole pushing a Z4 and an X3 around all the time while I had this POS joke for a car. He had considered selling the car, but never got to it before i wrecked the whole thing. Now, he tells me, he doesn't have to make that decision anymore. and he's glad.

Might be interested in the unused strut brace, I believe it will fit a Roadster as well?
