hello everyone ! well first of all I'm new in the forum so mmm "HI" haha second... I have a huge problem with my z4. It is a e85 z4 manual transmission and the problem I have is that one day it just didn't start and I haven't been able to start it for about 2 weeks now. I did a series of tests and got some OBDII codes, so here is what I've got till now:
-the car cranks but doesn't starts
-when I put the key in the ignition position I can hear the fuel pump working( this means the fuel pump gets energy and the relay works as well I guess)
-I started the car by pouring gas into the throttle body( which means I have a spark)
-the battery is brand new plus I tried 2 other charged batteries and still didn't start.
- the fuel tank is half full and poured 2 more gallons just to make sure
- I got a bunch of obdII trouble codes: p0261(cylinder 1 injector circuit low) and got the same issue with all the 6 injectors, I also got p0335(crankshaft position sensor A circuit malfunction)
-also the drive belt from the ac compressor is missing( a mechanic told me this wouldn't cause the main problem though)
overall what's happening is that the engine is not getting any fuel, could this be because of the crankshaft position sensor? or is it faulty fuel filter( the mechanic is telling me it might be the fuel filter) or pump? any ideas on what to do to make sure what it is? I'm having a hard time trying to find where the CPS is but I'll get under the car tomorrow and hope to find it.
