Z4 maintenance items questions

Hi guys, few more questions as I am researching potential Z4C ownership.

Windshield wipers (brand) you found work best and are the "modern" type with this full rubber
recommended engine oil for cold climates - I assume has to be 5W30 Castrol synthetic something...
gearbox oil (only 1 type I assume, long life) but again for cold climates
spark plugs you like best for this motor (or just go with OEM)


Thanks in advance, sorry if the oil one was asked and answered in the past. I am mainly looking for input on windshield wipers and gearbox oil, but threw in others because I might get those done same time.
 
im waiting on a car to arrive in a week or two from germany, then i\ll share what my mechanic suggests once we have inspected it. im sure ill have a full list by the time im done ....
 
Assuming it's an E85/E86 you're after.

Gearbox / diff oil. There's a couple of good racing variants that my Indy recommended to keep the gearbox more fluid - obviously more expensive but recommended it as had been found to provide smoother operation in higher mileage cars.

Engine oil - In the M you have to use Castrol TWS 10w60, supposedly only from the dealer or say goodbye to your engine warranty. With the others, some use Mobil 1 & others view provided the equivalent SAE is used, will be ok. I just wait until Costco have their offer & I pick mine up for £25... alternatively Eurocarparts have 30% off at the moment so u may get a bargain there, remembering the price is for 4 litres, so need 2 for a refil.
