Will this go on mileage or age, I cannot remember when it is due, if the car is 8-10 years then would it not make sense to carry it out if the vehicle has low mileage

Only oil services and brake fluid changes are time based. Inspections are timed in accordance with mileage and driving style. Although, I had mine carried out ahead of time. Just for peace of mind sake, getting things like valve clearances done etc, is never a bad thing.

Ins2 is mileage based, around 50K ish, your indicator will let you know when it's due, all you have to remember is to have oil and bf every 2 years max if you've not hit the mileage

i do mine Bi yearly irrespective of miles....

so i do oil - inspection 1, oil inspection 2...

my car is highly modified and therefore i feel its a cheap insurance to over service.
