z4 lights

went out in the dark for the first time last night , i had read on here the lights are pants , i fitted piaa xtreme bulbs a while back and imo the lights are spot on , the piaa bulbs are expensive but there are good if any one wants to improve the lights without fitting hid \ xenons

I adjusted the level of my headlights slightly (not to chav levels!). Better but still could do with a bit more light. Where did you get your bulbs from?

i got mine as payment for a job i done but you can buy them on line but about £40 a pair, i had mine on low setting and were very good

I upgraded my audi a4 with osram nightbreaker 2's very good throw on them and better write ups than piaa bulbs at 60% cheaper too!

Fitted Bosch Pure Light last week - great bulbs & rated by Which as almost as powerful (lux rating) as Xenon. Miles ahead of Philips & Halfords etc.

Pure Light sidelights are pants though.

Out of interest what wattage are these halogen bulbs you're fitting?

I assume they are either over 55w (which some like PIAA are not) in which case illegal, or they overstress the filament and compromise the life expectancy.

Certainly I remember the Jeep guys being unable to get more than 6 months out of PIAA bulbs.

piaa are the best auto bulbs you can buy - fact. extreme have tough filaments which are on suspension brackets cause they are also designed for motorbikes
