Not that i'm complaining or anything... because good heaters in the car is a blessing, but.. this should give you guys a laugh, i came home from work yesterday had the heaters on full blast nice and toasty, so toasty that the top of my left foot tends to feel like its burning lol, ended up going by to visit a girlfriend on the way home, got into her house kicked my right shoe off went to kick my left shoe off and tripped over fowards and landed flat on my face ahah, then when i tried to get my shoe off. It was stick to my sock... !! LOL pulling and tugging the shoe hard and it just wouldn't budge lol. Ended up taking my shoe and sock off together and was still struggling. finally it ripped my sock and it was set free.

Let this be a warning to anyone wearing trainers that have some sort of glue where the toes might be :)) I will be at some point de gingering the car... maybe sticking the lights in the foot wells is an option, to split the lights apart for surgery

i usually have the heated seat on full (3 bars) an the heater turned up to maximum heat in the morning 8)

z4 thermostat opens at 97c ,that way it's so hot, i would say some times to hot
The info I have states the M54 3.0 'stat temp is 103c, even hotter! And that's at the pump inlet, when it comes out of the engine, it's about 113c! OP is lucky it was just the glue that melted. More trivia: with electronic intervention under high load, the 'stat becomes an 85c 'stat, causing the outflow temp to be around 103c. Source is BMW E85 training manual issued Sep 2002.
