This thread is getting downright stupid. Some people prefer roadsters and some people prefer coupes. I used to absolutely have to have convertibles but now would prefer the coupes - partially because I've had a vert for the last 7.5 years so it's not as freshing to me anymore and partically because BMW can't seem to make the Z4 roadster without rattles and squeaks. Neither one is truly better than the other. The Z4-roadster looks awesome with the top down and driving with the top down is still pretty awesome experiences. The coupe is more rigid and handles better, and the roof line looks great. The hardtop gives the roadster an option for a different styling, and while it adds some weight, it also provides better aerodynamics; and when you feel like driving with the top down - you can.
If one needs to suggest that roadster owners are gay because they drive roadsters, then maybe one needs to re-check his insecurities with his manhood in the first place.
It's really getting old and pathetic that roadster and coupe owners always seem to ridicule one another for their choices in cars. They're all BMW's. And they're all Z4's / Z4M's. Don't turn this into the 3-series forums where they bash one another for choosing verts v.s. coupes, sticks v.s. SMG's.
