Z4 Hard Top - Stratos Grey

Gents, some advice please.

I would quite like a hardtop for my lovely lovely Z4 and am wondering where might be best to get one. The dealer has quoted me about £1800 which seems expensive (although not as bad as I thought it might be!) - could you recommended anywhere else where I might be able to pick up a 2nd hand one? Or am I wasting my time even looking for one in this colour?

Quite a few threads on this recently.. have a dig through.

They are around (hardtops).. you just have to keep an eye out.

Common concensus seems to be that the prices are dropping slightly as we head towards spring.
Generally it looks like £700 to 800'ish is the going rate second hand.

Good advice given already is to be open to any colour and get it resprayed. (Around the £150 mark)

I would say yes for sure, there are hardly any Stratus cars around as it was only available really late in the lifespan, but just get it sprayed yourself.

Ebay is your best bet but expect to hit £900 to £1100 in bidding. It all depends on the day who's after which one.

Ensure you get the OEM hood cover too. Useful to protect it in Summer and can even be wall hung

Search Ebay and there is a Sapphire Black on there now, £500, no photo or bids yet.

On another tack if you get yourself a BMW discount card you'll get 10% off, so you are comparing say £1,620 new, for say £1000 +£150 respray so they start to get closer.
