Z4 E89 - 23i/30i/35i

Hi all,

I'm on the hunt for an E89 Z4

Must have: iDrive, parking sensors, sport seats

Keen on manual gearbox (but would consider DCT). Preferably the 30i, although, would consider the 23i or 35i if the price was right (although I'm a little scared of the HPFP/coil/turbo issues )

Budget ~£10k

Hi and welcome.

If I was looking for an E89 I'd want a manual with the 30i or maybe 35i (subject to the potential issues you've mentioned).

I can't help thinking if you bought a 23i you might be forever wondering what a bigger one would have been like! But maybe that's because my E86 has the same 3 litre N52 engine as the 30i E89. :lol:

By comparison the 2.5 litre N52 in my daily (same engine as a 23i) doesn't feel that special - although it is fitted to a 3 Series Touring, which probably doesn't help! :lol:

Good luck finding one that ticks all the boxes.

Your car looks great - I do like red leather seats!
