Z4 E85 Pre Face Lift - 2.2 / 2.5 (No Projects)

Hello,

I am looking for a pre face lift E85 Z4 roadster with either a 2.2 or 2.5 engine.

My budget is £4500 absolute max.

I do not mind doing the normal servicing and maintenance work but i do not want a project that needs significant amounts of work before the car can be enjoyed.

If the usual work such as the DISA, VANOS, rocker cover gasket, water pump, etc has already been done, that would be a bonus.

The car must have heated leather seats (for the girlfriend) and be structurally sound, i.e no rust, leaks in the roof, etc.

Preferences on colour would be silver, black or dark blue but would look at others too.

I’m based on the north east and willing to travel to look at a car but not hundreds of miles to the ends of the country.

Welcome to the forum Dan,
Hopefully that budget should find you something decent.
May I suggest you look out for Stuart (bigwinn) who has built up a reputation for picking up cars and doing all the work you mention, then moving on a high quality product after a couple of months.
I believe he has just acquired a Maldives Blue 2.5 which could fit your requirements.
It's also possible that if you spoke to him first he may be able to tailor the output to meet your wish list.
You'll need 3 posts before you can PM him but if I link him to this post like this ([ref]bigwinn[/ref]) he should see it and maybe contact you.
In the meantime do a search and look at all the work he's done so far.
Yes, he's in Lincoln, but you are going to have to travel regardless.

Coincidentally I have just seen the Titan Silver 2.2 he has sold recently which would have been perfect.

Hey Dan,

I don’t know if you’ve spotted my sale thread or not but might have something of interest. I’m selling my silver E85 2.5i with heated leather seats. It’s booked in to have the valve cover gasket replaced later this month and a fresh MOT. Lots of work done in the past year, ticking a lot of the common bits off.

Two things that it doesn’t meet from your requirements:
- it’s a 56 plate so a facelift
- it’s quite decidedly at the other end of the country! I’m in Essex and my partners from Middlesbrough so we’re quite often up that way; not actually a terrible journey but appreciate you may prefer to keep to local area for your search.
