Hello, just removed the CD Multichanger from my Z4, doesn't look like it has ever been used.

After having a wee look around £30 seems a reasonable price plus postage I imagine postage will be around £15 or less depending on where in the UK its being sent to.

Good evening,
The CD changer in my Z4 has never worked since I bought it.
Couple of questions
Does this one work?! Second, how easy is it to remove mine/ insert a new one? Is it accessed through the drop down door or through the boot?
Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick,

It did work and I can test it again pre-sending away.

The two plugs that connect it are very easy to access from the boot by undoing 1 plastic screw and lifting the liner. So I can easily plug it in there to test again (2 min job).

The centre console is a bit more work but still not difficult, I managed it with no previous experience yesterday within an hour just watching a couple of YouTube videos. There is literally 10 screws at most. You need a torx size 30 and 10, a Philips screwdriver and an 8mm socket.
An interior trim tool or some kind of lever is also useful so you can gently pry up the trim pieces without snapping the holds. Although they can be glued on if you do break any, I managed not to though!

Thanks, I’ll try removing mine today and let you know!

Sounds good, there is a couple of helpful threads on here and a few YouTube videos. Takes a bit of searching though as there is nothing directly related to removing a CD multichanger!

Hi,

Forgive my ignorance ..... can the standard BMW Business Radio/CD headhunt control this multi-changer?
And, if so, is it still available?

Thanks.

It is still available, that’s a question I am not sure about though. I wonder if anyone on here with a bit more knowledge on that one could help out!
