Z4 E85 boot struts (used)

I have just replaced my E85 boot struts for new SGS ones, they are in full working and hold the boot up with no problems. I replaced them as I thought they’d lost a little of their pressure and given it’s a relatively inexpensive part wanted to freshen it up.

I have two (one for each side) are up for grabs to anyone who will cover the postage (which I’d imagine will be roughly £5). I’m not looking to make any money on this just see if they can be recycled to a good home.

I Dave, just wondered if the struts are supposed to actually open the boot lid up, or just stop it from falling down?
Mine has never opened on its own, that's all & I thought this is how they all are?? Cheers, Kev.

You’re right, they’re not designed to lift the boot (other than assisting you). The new ones I have are stronger but it doesn’t change anything for me to be honest, I still need to lift the boot and it still doesn’t drop when it’s open.

I’m going to keep the originals and store them should I ever sell the car they can go with it.
