Z4 E85 3.0si 2006: where is this button meant for?

Goodmorning all, please help me out here:
I have this on/off button under the dash but I have no clue where it is meant for. It is not for outside lighting nor a preventing starting function, tested this both. This Z4 is USA delivered in 2006. Thanks in advance for your help.

Not standard, does the car gave aftermarket front parking sensors, failing that the panel is easy to remove, see if it's connected to anything

Thanks! No parking sensors present. Yes, button is wired and connected. One wire visibly connected to mass.

Not sure, but check a VIN decoder to see if it was fitted with the optional BMW machine gun pack. :guns:

Haha, thx. I spoke the former owner: question solved: it is for the fog back light which is not obligatory in USA. It is in The Netherlands though. BMW has build it in afterwards. My current dealer did not know that.
