z4 e85 2.0 underneath picture needed

hi so coming home from work, heard some flapping then a thud then all quiet????
from what i can see underneath it all looks there
but im not sure and to be honest i wouldn't know what it looked like in the first place
the parts pictures are rubbish!!
ive looked on the net for a picture of a 2.0 e85 z4 but nothing .
anybody out there could possible help me out with what it should look like before i jack it up tomorrow and see whats gone.

I have the same car Simon and thought i might try to help but pics or video with it the ground. Not really that helpful but there are plenty of covers and they all sit firmly against the underside...
Might it have been a pidgeon (flapping) that met an untimely end and not pieces of your car?

Based on your post I can assume when the incident happened you didn't look in the rearview mirror to see if any object was left behind? And if you did and there was none then you are on the right track. Trying to get a pic, jack up etc. However even then maybe hard to see any issues. If after all this still no reason found. For peace of mind I would book a look see with a shop just to be sure. After all nice to know there are no issues then to find out on the road. Good luck with search.

Flapping means plastic. Hav u checked wheel arches?

so ive had a good look under the car, the long black plastic cover covering the brake pipes was loose at the front by the transmission so fixed that but is there any cover that goes over the area in the picture????

Hi simon, i put my camera phone on some decking board and filmed that area - looks like it's one of the few parts of the underbody, particularly at the front, that is not covered. Think your all good
