Z4 Dust Caps

I bought some cheapo dust caps, but they stick out too much from the wheel. I have tiny metal ones on mine, which I presume came with the car, so can I just get the same ones from BMW?

Dont use the metal ones from ebay. They weld to the valve. Two sets of mole grips would not get mine off. Ended up with flat tyre and a bill for 4 new valves.

i use a set of richbrook anti-theft ones that have a little key so that they cant be stolen. they look nivce on the car aswell.

any car shop will sell them, halfords etc

Rudd have you tryed to get them off if they have been on a long time, not easy. Motorsport wheels fitted ones for me, nice plain chrome ones with the stem to cover the full valve. Very nice. Come off as easy as the plastic ones.

yeah, took them off a couple of times with no probs.

aslong as you dont have cheap valves/caps thhere will be no problems.
iv had these on other cars and they have been on for ages with no problems and if they are stiff just use a bit of releasing oil

The 107's I bought had these on.

I cut the valves out, as the valve stem and cap had become 'one'

Absolute junk!

Get the original ones from the dealer they only cost coppers. I beleive the Part number is: 36 12 1 120 779. These should be what originally comes with your wheels. Hope this helps. :)
