There isn't much for us non-M coupe owners in terms of tv reviews from the time, so I thought I'd share this. The Z4 does well bearing in mind it costed 50 percent less than the Cayman new!
Despite being from a public information film from the 50s, the voice-over guy has one thing right - hes not a fan of the whippy! Sorry Fred :D

Thanks for sharing. Good and fair judgement but wonder why they've gone for the Cayman S instead of the Cayman?

You don't need a video review you just need this one.
You will encounter many people from the midlands on this forum who have a 3 litre auto, (rumski)
people put M wheels on their cars, and quad exhausts and, lower their cars (goldielocks))and they think they are amazing. But us who have Si coupes really know what a proper car is.

It is an incredible review, but do you think I've pissed a few people off on here though?

Doubt it, but you gotta admit that each person has their own opinion of what a good car is. I love my coupe but I'm not going to be bashing our roadster friends here, stating that my car in some way better than theirs. It might be a tiny bit stiffer but that's such a marginal difference that I'd say both coupe and roadster are in the same league when it comes to providing driving pleasure and being a drivers car.

It's actually massively stiffer but I don't really care about that either. I've been on here for a good few years now and when I first joined if any coupe owner wrote anything about their coupe people like Ranski would be twats. I can't actually believe that Ranski hasn't been on this thread to deride it. Maybe he's too busy having having driving lessons to learn how to drive a proper (manual) car. You still here Ranksi?

Now then let's get this straight, if the z4 was a crap car I wouldn't have bought one.

I love the turned aluminium dash and trim in that car, never seen it before?? I used to have a very similar effect on my M3CS trim, it was a rare option.
Love it though, looks a lot better to my eyes than the standard flat finish. Anyone out there have it?

I do! I like it much more than the plain one too. It's called "cirrus" trim but I've never seen another for sale with it, not sure if it's rare or not but it looks good to me.

photos please sir! I'd hazzard a guess it's pretty rare, can't remember seeing others, but then again at low resolution it's hard to tell.
