Z4 Coupe Tires

I am looking to purchase goodyear f1 eagle asymmetric 2 tires for my z4 coupe 2007 3l e86.

The tire size on the front is 225/40/18 88W and rear 255/35/18 90W.

I cannot find the tires with the load ratings anywhere in the UK. Is there a different load rating I can use?

I didn't choose extra load tyres and I feel the turn in is not as crisp as I would like.

I don't know about the sizes, I use 17 inch wheels.

I do not understand the load, can I choose anything other than 88w and 90w that will be safe.

The letter is the speed rating is it not? Y will be fine, thats what I have on my standard wheels.

can you explain the 'Y' as my current tyres are W. Also what does 94XL (rear) and 92XL (front) mean as my current tyres are 90 and 88 respectively.

I just want to get a it right as I am aware insurance companies do not pay out if tyres are wrong!

unsure what FP TL mean!

They'll be fine.

FP = flange/felgen protection (means it's got a bit of a lip on the sidewall to protect your wheels)
TL = tubeless (which is normal)

The letter w and y is the speed rating (speed tested up to) the 88 90 and 94 are load ratings (how much load the tyre can take) usually higher the load rating the stiffer the sidewall. Generally i find a stiffer sidewall gives better performance but may mean a crashier ride
