If you have the standard business with nav, will this amp be an improvement or is there more than the amp required?
For example, more/upgraded speakers? Sub?
I ask as I have a standard business set up. I purchased an active sub but realised its no easy for to my coupe, so I’m now perplexed as to what to do?
If this amp was fitted, what would be the advantage?
I did notice once that a DSP set up appears on the screen.

Sorry if I sound obtuse/naive 8)

I believe you'll need the Carver subs to go with this amp as the amplifier sends a 30 volt signal to them. I do have a spare set of Carver subs which I'd sell separately.

Do you have the CID (pop up screen) for navigation? If so then the dsp amp will enable customisation via the parametric eq to your taste/ears! If not, you'll need the business cd player with dsp options and then you can choose from a limited range of eq settings.

Personally the dsp set up in the coupe sounds great provided the software or dsp amplifier runs the roadster "filterbankes" (eq parameters). I've been experimenting if different variations of the dsp set up and can even programme dsp amps via INPA/NCS Expert.

Happy for you to come and try the set up before committing or listen to my set up. I'm near Lichfield and available most evenings.

Wow wish I'd kept mine if this is what they sell for these days

One sold for £425 on ebay a few months back and that was the inferior version from the coupe :o

Wow that's mental I'm sure I got £90 for mine and the going rate was £100-£150 at the time.

New ones were over £1k from BMW though so a large discount.

In a similar vein, I wish I'd kept hold of my E36 M3 GT and didn't sell it for £12k back in 2004, at the time I thought I did pretty well

M cars always have done well after they have bottomed out depreciation wise.

Good luck with this sale it could be sitting about for a while. I'd stick it on eBay too for more exposure.

First divorce was amicable, both walked away with our actual fair share

I really like the 10 speaker DSP setup the z4 range, mentioned before my shops fits high end audio and honestly for a system that's so called dated you cant hide how good it sounds, I no many don't share this sentiment but coming from someone that fits 3k plus systems regularly the Z4 DSP setup is fantastic ... These amps are getting rare now as such this price is probably about right. GLWS op.

Hi, you are being very generous with your advise and time, truly appreciated.
The next free available evening I have, considering the distance (as I’m based in Northampton) will be Thursday 23/06/22.
This is because I am not working Thursday, thus, I can set off earlier as I know the M1 is having works done between Northampton and the M6. Allowing me to take a casual drive that’s going to be at least 90 mins.
If you have not sold it by then, I would like to make an arrangement.
Just as a heads up, I’m 54 and did the whole clubbing scene of the uk between 85-2000 so music is very important to me.
I’ve purchased various devices from forum members but never fitted them, this system of your truly intrigues me.
I will DM my number/email.

PM received, happy to help a fellow forum member just as many have helped me with the the invaluable "how to" guides
