z4 bluetooth upgrade with dsp

When I first bought my 2006 Z4MC I retro fitted bluetooth, by adding a ULF, antenna and mic and hacking into the wiring via a telemute harness at the back of the head unit, building a new cable to connect to the ULF in the boot.

All went well once I had got the phone paired except for the fact that I cannot change the call volume and it is incredibly quite, okay if engine not running but useless if it is.

Any ideas where it went wrong, I have searched the web for hours and found nothing.

Thanks

Don't quote we on this but i know you can change the volume using nav coder found here.
Once your in a call you should be able to turn the volume up/down using the radio volume tho.

I retrofitted the whole kit some 2 years back on both my X5 and Z4.
Issues I looked into to get sound quality up were:
DSP amp on the X5
upgraded mike on the Z4
Later column top mike mount
location of the bluetooth antennae

On the Z4 I broke into the circuit in the rear left wher the harness comes through the rear firewall. Never touched the headunit

Both are perfect :)

I'm sure you've seen it but bimmernav.com is a great source of info
