Oh OK. I'm not familiar with the concept of disc brakes on a road bike so I thought it might be the reason. There was a documentary on BBC a couple of years back about a bloke who went the world sourcing bike bits for his dream bike starting from a made to measure frame at Brian Rourke, visiting the Campag factory in Italy , a wheel builder in Portland and at the end of the programme he was shown riding the bike with the front wheel the wrong way round. :? Caused a stir on the cycling forums.

BMW K1200s for good weather, Triumph Sprint ST1050 for wet weather

Well I was up visiting the old man yesterday and took some pics of his latest addition and latest project. He currently has around 25 motorbikes, mainly all BSA, Enfield, Triumph and Norton but also has the odd older Jap machine.





The second bike has been a real project. He's even went to the detail of hand machining a lot of the bolts out of stainless steel hex rod on his lathe.

My bikes are a little less interesting.

In my bad old days 1969 1200cc Harley FLH bought it when i was 24 still got it 23 years later , sold my other Harley to buy the Z

That Vincent is to die for, the tritons nice too. Had my fair share of old Brits, real character you don't find in modern bikes, my 1200 bandit was nice but a bit of an animal. Thinking of going back down the Classic Brit route next year.
