Ooh good thread.

Beer; of the cold and fizzy variety I'm partial to a light South American beer, of the ale variety I like a nice smooth taste, medium hops and with a fruity finish.

Wine wise, it's all about Tempranillo.

Red = Rioja :)

Rioja is my favourite also, not a fan of high tanin... If you like Rioja you should also try a Ribera del Duero, very nice too.

White, a nice crisp chilled Riesling.

Beer, anything interesting! I am quite partial to Jerimiahs mash brews at the moment...

Spirit, a good Brandy/Cognac or Whiskey is my tipple of fancy... I have some good ones but for general drinking a Bushmills black bush with a drop of water is grand!!

And of course everyone loves a cheeky vimto every now and then!!

Ooh never tried them... Are they cask only? Or can you purchase?

Nope... You can buy them all in bottles with the exception of the dangerously dark ( A truely brilliant black american hopped IPA), i dont like to buy bottles as it spoils the taste..

Buy in beerbag if possible.;)

Have to be a pint of good old John Smiths Bitter for a weekday pint!

For the weekend I am partial to a bottle of Desperados http://www.desperadosbeer.com/gb/en/#home
A light lager beer with a cheeky hint of Tequila. It does sound more for the youngsters but give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

As for wine, has to be red and a nice bottle of Wolf Blass Yellow Label Cab Sav or Conch y torro diablo merlot.

Have to agree with Mr Wilks though as Roche Mazet in France is less than £2.50 a bottle and is a very nice wine for a small amount of money :D

And for the short, has to be a Dalwhiny or Ardberg single malt, one lump of ice

Tiger, Kronenburg or Oranjeboom,in that order.

Rioja, or a cheeky Chablis.

Any decent single malt, currently working through a bottle of The Balvenie Double Wood, 12yr. old
