Thanks for the updates on your progress, turbosnail. Interesting about needing a better chargepipe if you go with catless downpipes, maybe I need to add one back into the shopping list.
Having seen the higher temps using DCI's (I think on ZPost? Easy to google), personally I would still like to go back to a stock airbox with an uprated filter.

Charge pipe makes sense for preventative maintenance imo especially tuned. You can always chance it on the stock plastic one and only change if it breaks lol.

On the DCI's get a bigger Intercooler to compensate and cool the air :)

I have a similar setup to Miyli above for my 35i. Loving the MHD 2+ map especially the linear throttle map, it is just so much more responsive and feels more realistic driving.

So, today was “judgement day” on the dyno!

The garage (Palm’s Auto) specialise in tuning (turbo) cars and they took time for long talk about various tuning options for the N54 engine and the DCT transmission. I also got to see some of the mad project cars they were working on for other customers. Now I’m seriously tempted to come back...

Got the car on the dyno. However, running a car with a modern esp-system is apparently a problem if the dyno does not have synchronised rollers (front wheels running at the same speed as the rear wheels). But once the esp-system thought there was an error on the sensors, it was possible to do the runs!

I’m pretty pleased with the results: 417 hp and 609 Nm.

The numbers are one thing, but the power curves show why the car feels so fast in everyday driving. In the end these are just numbers - the fact that the car puts a mad grin on my face is the important thing. :D

Great result OP! What Stage MHD did you run in the end? And Fuel?

I’m running stage 1+ using Shell V-power 100 octane.

417bhp on Stage 1+! That's insane.
What type of dyno was it run on?

The numbers are not far from what others have reported. The garage uses a Dynomet dyno and is officially certified to do these tests - they also have a good reputation  . That said, the results will always vary a bit from dyno to dyno.

I've been running a stepped FMIC, decat downpipes, HKS SSQV, and MHD 2+ (98ron) for the last 6 months on a 100k 35i 😊

Not been on a rolling road yet...
