Z4 3.0si knocking noise

Hi

My Z4 has developed a knocking noise from the front driver side. It isn't a regular noise so not related to the wheels turning. Any ideas? Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced BMW garage in the South West London, Wimbledon area? Thanks for your help.

I had something similar - turned out the strut brace was loose! Worth a check as it costs nothing

As above not sure of have the twin black engine struts
But I had a knocking noise and it was the bolts were loose

I had a very similar thing, I've checked the strut brace in the engine bay.. the springs, all bushes etc and in the end it was the anto roll bar nut loose which made the car knock at random times, going over certain bumps or speed bumps.

Thanks everyone. Doesn't sound too expensive to fix. I will let you know what the outcome is.

I don't suppose you have such an easy fix for the sticky steering problem which seems to be looming on my Z4? Bad on very hot days.
