Z4 3.0si Coupe Sqeeking OSR Shock Absorber

When im getting out of the car or press on the OSR, the shock Absorber or spring squeeks! is this terminal and nead replacing or is it just a symptom of the m sport suspension?

mine squeeks a bit too on the osr now and then but its not the spring ,I cant really find whats causing it

Just noticed your comment about when you get out of car. Brakes maybe?

I had a squeek when getting out of the car but my rear discs were corroded to ****. After changing and adjusting hand brake squeek has gone.

Is the handbrake on at the time?
Mine squeaks when getting out if the handbrake is on, as the wheel rotates slightly as the car rises. More so on the driver's side as that's where the weight is.

Try it with handbrake off on the flat. Sounds normal.

Mine squeaked before I replaced the handbrake. Try the above suggestions before going down spring/shock route. If not the handbrake then you could have a broken spring. Apparently very common.

As has been said already, this is most often the handbrake springs/shoes causing the squeak. renewed mine, squeak gone.
