Z4 3.0i fast road/track geo settings

I'm shortly having laser four wheel alignment done on my 2003 3.0i Z4 and was wondering whether it's best to stick with having the OEM settings restored or if it's recommended to have different geometry settings?

The suspension of my Z4 is the stock M-sport setup and I use the car for fast road driving and the occasional trackday.

I have the CSL setup on my M.

Handles very well indeed.
 
I also have the csl geo setup - it's ideal for an enthusiastic driver - very neutral to oversteery...! :D
 
What are the CSL settings?
Are they from the E46 CSL?

From memory there wasn't a Z4 CSL, but as the car is based on the E46 it maybe thats where they are from :|

I don't think you need to knock the pins out to get the CSL Geo?
 
Thanks for the advice, will most garages be happy to do CSL geo on the Z4? Are any modifications needed to achieve it and are there any negative characteristics?
 
Garage I spoke to are happy to do the CSL goemetry, is it recommended even with stock suspension and ride height?

Yes, it has no bearing really on the alignment settings. The only thing you might want to consider if funds allow is a suspension refresh ahead of any alignment

Thanks. I'd like to get the B12 kit and replace the bushings when I have it fitted but since my insurance company won't cover me if I fit any more modified parts I'll put that off until I renew and change companies in 10 months so will just be going for the alignment for the time being. Are there any negative characteristics associated with the CSL setup, eg tramlining, tyre wear etc?
