z4 3.0 wanted

I have been looking for a z4 for a couple of weeks with no joy , I not in a rush but thought I would try this forum for a looked after car . I only have a small budget of 5500 . i want a car that I can use at the week ends for fun with my son . Also any advise about what I should look out for ,pls let me know . cheers Lee
 
Bought my z4 3.0 today ,silver with black leather , service history and 77000 miles on the clock for 5300 nice upgrade alloys and rear sensors , everything else standard comes with three month warranty .get it next week ,can't wait ,who does the best insurance ?
 
I always use the price comparison sites, who's good one week isn't always the best a week later so you have to play it by ear.
Make sure you post pics of your car when you get it, I'm sure you will like it-they are great cars

I will try them as I need to insure it to get it home.I all post a PIC when I get it home ,got talking to an AA guy in one of of those vans,he said the three litre was a good engine but I must change something on the engine when I get it .I can't remember what its called but he said they were some blades that open up on the air intake .metal on the old cars but plastic on newer ones .And advised
to change them.If anyone knows what he was on about ,could you please educate me as I don't have a clue lol.mines an 04 plate by the way
 
I would guess he meant the disa valve as these can break & the metal pin get ingested into the engine with catastrophic results :(
It's possible to buy refurb kits to stop this from happening.
