Z4 2003 Roof

Hi all,
Having not used the convertible roof for 6/7 months over the winter, I tried to open the other day and it got stuck about half-way. I managed to close it almost fully, but there is a small gap and it won't close flush. The lights next to the gearbox are flashing red! Does anyone have any advice on how/where to get fixed, estimated cost, any other hacks that could work?

It’s quite likely to be a broken wire in the loom that runs up inside the edge of the hood on the passenger side where the main hinge bends, which is getting increasingly common nowadays. It’s an easy diy fix to mend the broken wire, the difficulty is in locating it because you cannot tell any damage from an external inspection of the loom. From memory I think it is the red wire that breaks causing your symptoms, but there are plenty of threads on here with photos if you search (or if another member kindly posts a link).
