Z3 to Z4 to Z4 to Z8

I didn't 'question' anything. The OP can do what he likes. I would hope he wouldn't be swayed by my opinion. It's a forum....opinions and chat are what make it.......in my opinion.
Fair point, you didn't actually question it. We all like different things. Like I said, a Z8 isn't my cup of tea particularly, regardless of price... but if the OP is set on a Z8, then thats fair enough.

As my old mother would say 'there ain't no pockets in shrouds!' spend it and enjoy it.... and some pictures of it when you get it

Good luck with the viewing/s please keep us posted. You've now got me searching eBay for Z8 books and bits.
I see what you mean ££££!

Have you enquired with bmw if the book can be re ordered?

What a great opportunity CliveN. Get the one that you want - its your car and go have fun. I drove a Z8 ~15 years ago when my friend (a local BMW GM), had one that was traded in at his store and brought it around for me to drive. He was great - told me he had to put new tires on it anyway, so. "treat it like a rental car'" I did and did a few burnouts - in know sacrilege, but oh what fun! It was a really fun car to drive and quite quick. It is was fueled my desire for the 6MT Z4 that I just recently bought.

Have you looked in Germany? There seem to be a fair few there with various specs and as they are all LHD why pay over the odds over here for one.

I absolutely love them. Would be an Alpina for me they look so good. Silver on red.

The downside is value for money and as far as i have read the actual driving experience is not the best.

Life is too short but the boat has sailed with these. So many better cars out there for this sort of money. If they were 100k i would be like just buy one but the difference as you say is not huge and they still arent great.

I guess it depends if Clive can keep it registered in Spain, or if it has to be UK registered - which will now incur VAT/taxes thanks to the ever-giving gift of Brexit.

Could still work out if the price is right though

In response, vfm? Nah not really. You need to want one. Alpina wheels - I will buy these anyway if I don’t buy the Sytner one with ACS wheels. For me preference is a U.K. car not a US import. The car will continue to be U.K. registered. It will not live in Spain. It would be an in-out car. It’s not worth importing from Europe. They require mods and usually they are even more expensive by around 10% like for like.
