Hi,

My Hubby is looking for a cherished registration for our new 2011 Z4 currently on order and completion in late July.

Choices are:

X27 BJE (his birth date and his initials)

BR11 ANE (this would reflect both our names in some way ....i.e. Brian and Breianne)

Your views (but keep them nice  ) please?

Many thanks :)

i like BR11 ANE however it might limit the usage unless you have an '11' plate car. The other one would obviously be more flexible when / if you change vehicle.

BR11 ANE doesn't do much for me personally (what Taylor225 said but politer!) If it doesn't spell exactly it looks silly.

If you're going to the hassle (and it's not much) I think it's worth looking for a plate with one number - the fewer the better. I doesn't really matter whether it stands for anything or not.

You could get B2 _ _ _ as there are two of you?

Oddly enough I've just bought one with the intention of putting on a Z4C when I eventually get one!

I'd always go with the ageless option and as few digits as possible.

Jeezuz talk about OTT! - thats probably the most bizarre post I've seen in ages!

You hate some plates but others with your 'twatty' initials on are OK?

Anyway, moving on....

To the dear lady OP, personally I think the X one looks pretty meaningless to anyone but you and hubby....I think BRII ANE looks more interesting but depends on price really?

Couple of BBZs (with a 4 even) here for around a grand...

Personal choice really, as long as you're not putting screws or slanting letters to try and spell something it isn't just go with what you like.

As above i prefer less digits so E1 or J4 for me there are loads on DVLA website i take it thats where you looked as they are the cheapest people like Newreg will take the piss and charge twice the price and all they do is buy it from DVLA then sell on to you.

I prefer plates where everything in the plate means something to me. Saying that, I would't pay much over £800 for a plate though....unless it was D4FFY obviously :)

I have: V22MJM and W11MJM

I'd like T33MJM or X6MJM next :-)
