Yodel next day deilivery

Ordered a Bissell carpet cleaner directly from them a few days back. I wanted next day delivery which was an extra 9.95 for which you have to order before 12 noon for next day delivery. As I work from home on Fridays I ordered it Wednesday evening expecting delivery on the Friday, seemed reasonable to me. However nothing arrived until today with the Romanian driver banging on the door at 7.45am with a fag hanging off his bottom lip :| Luckily I was in.

Should I ask for my 9.95 back? lol.

Thanks Mark, I don't think its unreasonable to ask for a refund on the delivery, I've e-mailed Bissell, and as I'm in Victor Meldrew mood today I might complain to Yodel as well to ask their drivers to kindly refrain from blowing fag ash in my face as I was signing for the delivery

Yodel are a disgusting company, full of moronic couriers, usually using their own vehicles without proper insurance.

We had a delivery recently (a mattress in a box), which they left next to the front door :lol: luckily no one stole it, but they even put a card through the letterbox telling us where we could find our package.

I thought it was pretty obvious :lol:

Thanks guys I've been refunded the delivery which on the delivery note says 24hr express :lol:

Yodel were used to deliver the Tower of London ceramic poppies and it took 3 attempts to get them delivered undamaged, it was pretty hopeless.

Deal with a lot of couriers at work and as said above Yodel are one of the most unreliable they use agency drivers for some of the work so they will get a sig from whoever they can many times I have rung them chasing a parcel that was not delivered to be told the system shows it was and when I ask for details of delivery time its long after we have closed for the day :x

Yodel seem to be linked somewhere along the lines to DPD as well.
We have had emails saying what time to expect a delivery from Yodel only for DPD to deliver it.
Last year I was expecting a delivery from Yodel at my place of work.
I was there until 7pm and had a text saying they tried to deliver but nobody was there at 5pm.
They also said that they posted a calling card which would be difficult as there is no letterbox.
This happened 3 times until we had to travel about 15 miles to their depot to collect it ourselves.
Their excuse was that the driver for that route was leaving and hadnt been delivering stuff at all.

I've always found DPD to be pretty much spot on with their deliveries, although on one occasion the van pulled up so as I was outside the house went to greet the driver who was standing by the cab only for him to say he was 2 minutes early and couldn't let me have the parcel :lol: so we just stood there checking our watches :?

Yodel threw a package over my drive gates one time. As the gates are electric I didn’t see it from the car and drove over the package as I came in, luckily nothing breakable but I was not impressed.
