Yet another convert..

...to non run flats. Popped some freshly refurbished 326's with Kermits just scrubbed in MPSS's on today and WOW..just WOW, the difference is truly staggering, I'm utterly astonished how much difference they have made. Kermit said they we're the same difference that comfort to sport on the adaptive suspension made and I can't put it any better than that. Gone is the twitchy, nervous feeling, the switch to snap oversteer mid corner, instead its butter smooth and compliant in comfort, and stiffer than comfort but still so compliant in sport. Initial turn in is so much improved, the confidence on cornering now is like night and day. It's transformed the car to me, made it the car I've been looking for. I was never unhappy with the run flats either, in fact I thought they were pretty good which is why I never bothered too much to change them, but all things can be improved upon and all the talk had to mean something so here we are, should've changed straight away, I'll never go back to run flats, and the other eye opener is i'm on 19's and 30 profile rears and 35 fronts, the thing should be awful, but it's totally the opposite.

Any E89 owners thinking about swapping just do it, do it now.

Well not a single post about run flats so maybe :topicclosed: and I'll try again another time...

They do make a massive difference to the ride/handling/feel of the car and I swapped to normal on the 640d, sods law though I've had two punctures in less than a year and you just know if I'd stuck to runflats I'd have been fine!

I'm shocked tbh Lee, there is such a gulf between them, they have completely altered the whole feel of the car, it's as though a different chassis has been put in.

I bought a can of gunk and compressor before fitting them just for Sod's law as you say.
