It's a case of removing the wheel to get access (not enough access with wheel on full lock). Then it's two torx bolts to get the bulb holder off, next carefully pull off the connector from the holder.
Pull out the halogen bulb with a set of pliers.
Next you need a small cylindrical file to create two grooves for the pins of the bulb to go through. (It's a bayonet style fitting).
Then reverse to fit. Just remember LED's have picky polarity!
It will give you a bulb warning light on the dash, which you can remove by creating a loop in the circuit (I'm yet to do this!)

Thanks for the detailed response...it's seems a lot more work that I had hoped just to change a bulb!
