Yet another brake disc question.

Looking for new front discs, are ATE the same as the OEM ones or is it the £100 per disc more expensive Zimmerman ones?

Autodoc are £490, carparts4less (which looks like the exact same company?) is £440 for ATEs, which seems a chunk cheaper than I was expecting. Am I missing something?

ATE part nos 104111208 / 104111218

Also what pads are best for general road use these days?

thanks

Paul

Carparts4less and Euro car parts are the same company, AutoDOC is entirely different and quite often cheaper in my experience but delivery can take a while.
Don't forget to allow Honey to run on your basket - I just did a trial shop on ECP and save just over £150 on my basket of two brake disks.

Ive just changed mine (ATE) direct from Loyd Carlisle Bmw and 2 brake pad sensor's + ATE pads for just under £600 delivered :) .

What's "Honey"??
It’s either ‘bee juice’ or the digital voucher extension :P

Onlinecarparts.co.uk are the same company as Autodoc, just spreading their web profile! :)
They do have different prices sometimes, though! :?

Aha - just added it to Firefox. You save £140 by using their Bank hol SAVE24 anyway, but Honey found a 26% one, so that's an extra bottle of wine in the basket tomorrow :)

Wonder if it is worth replacing the pad wear sensors?

Paul

Yes, Honey can be very useful! Saved me quite a bit over the years but it’s noticeable that Euro Car Parts discounts have been much less in the past year or so. Time are hard I guess.

TWO sensors? Does that mean you got all four discs and pads for that price?

And lastly (probably), CP4L only list Pagid or Brembo pads (and the wear sensor is Pagid branded but presumably will fit both types?).

So for road use would there be any noticable difference between the 2 brands?
