Here you go, don't think there any different to OEM just all I could find at the time instead of paying BMW £40 notes for a side light bulb.

I think you're right, LEDs required. The ones above have good 360 degree output, so I might get me some of them in the near future.

I really don't understand why people call a 6000k or 8000k Xenon an upgrade from a 4300k OEM bulb. As others have said, the higher the K, the lower the light output. So I would call it a downgrade to go from stock to 6000-8000k since you have less light output. Maybe people don't drive their cars dark roads?

I tried some LED for the angle eyes and though they are a little brighter than the stock 10w Halogen, they're still not where they need to be. I'm making some custom high powered LEDs for the AE, so hopefully they'll work out much better.

I think the whole downgrade/upgrade point is a bit on the pedantic side, I just meant changing from stock. I prefer the look of the 6000k so I guess it's as simple as that.

However, your right about the LED angel eyes, they do look better than stock. Is the one in the picture at the bottom the ones fitted in the top picture? What fitment are they?

Yes, the same, it's a BA9S base, same as the stock Halogen, so it's near plug & play. I really don't think they're bright enough in the daylight to be worth the effort. I'm working on a custom high powered LED for this application and will post my results one day...

I didn't change mine to upgrade - they're xenon, and pretty much bright enough. They needed replaced, and I like the whiter colour of the new ones. I'll be going LED when I get round to it for the angels... You can see them more over here in the daytime as there are plenty of gloomy days

The drivers side went on mine so I upgraded to 6000 and they look awesome... Well recommended

A 6000k bulb will emit roughly 12% less light than a 4300k bulb, therefore not a huge reduction in light output going from stock to 6000k. So 6000k is a downgrade in light output, but if you prefer the look of the bluer color, then it's an upgrade in color preference.
