xenon nozzle spray trim cover...

Hi All,

After a 7 hrs journey from Cornwall back to London during the bank holiday rush (normally should take around 3/4 hrs), I found the trim cover for the headlight nozzle spray on the left has gone missing!! I assume it must have gone flying when i was using it on the M5 or M4. Does any one know how easy it is to 'clip' a replacement back in? do i have to get the nozzle out from its retracted position when clipping on the replacement trim cover?

Thanks!

It's very easy actually.

You will need a new cover for a couple of £'s from the dealer and IIRC it comes balnk so needs painting. That's the pain...Easy enough with an aeresol if the dealer cannot supply painted

In terms of fitting there is no adjustment, no need to remove anything, etc. It all setttes in place using its internal return spring and rises under water pressure. Reach down inside the bumper cover and simply pull the jet up. Pointed nose pliers may make it easier. The new cover clips onto a 2 pronged flexbile mount. Engage one end and clip the other on. It's fiddly but no tools needed. You can lift the other side with your finger nails to see how it works. It will come up a couple of inches.

Good luck

Thanks so much guys (ovekll + jeeper), will give the dealer a ring to see if they can supply it painted (if not i assume i can get the aeresols from them (or Halfords?) for a DIY job).

Stealer wanted 19 pounds for a single nozzle trim cover!!! (thats unpainted as well - 30 if i wanted it pre painted) :(
anyone has any suggestions on alternative ways i can source the part?
