Xenon lights???

Hi all,

I've been trying to contact the seller of a z to ask him if the car has xenon lights as he has not put this in his advert.
How can I tell by a photo if the car I'm looking at has xenon lights or is that impossible!!
I've noticed that on the front bumper there seem to be washer jet covers or are these just blanking plates??

is there a dip dial next to the headlight switch? if not then it has xenons

Not possible from a photo of the front of the car as some halogen equipped cars had washers fitted.

Can you see the dash light switch on a photo? If it only has one knurled wheel it's xenon 2 is halogen (second is for headlight adjustment)

IF there is an engine shot you might be able to see the yellow warning stickers like below near each headlight.

I have to say, now they're working again I much prefer xenons, of course. They still seem to need wound up a notch though...

...I've had xenons on my las two cars, TT and Boxster and don't really want anything inferior. I live 11 miles out of town and need decent lights so I can see the mental deer up here!!!

Me to, but they were wound up one complete turn from a known dead centre position. Much better and never flashed at.

Just reset them for mot each year :wink:

All 3.0si will come with washers, but it IS possible to differentiate externally. Those equipped with xenons will have two projector units within the headlamp. See below:
