I have noticed over the last 2 weeks that the headlights sometimes point down, maybe a car length of visibility.
From what I have read this is the default if one of the leveling arms is broken.
I have checked the motors in the lights and I can see the lenses move each Time I turn on the lights so I know those are working.
However upon inspection of the front level sensor the ball joint that attaches to the arm on the sensor is loose/worn a bit, can this movement cause an intermittent false reading causing the lights to default down?
If I restart the car all is well again and the lights work fine, maybe a certain bump or camber change in the road is enough to throw a fault.
Am I on the right lines or is there something else in the system to check?
Cheers.
