Xenon Lens Detached

Hi,

I hope it's visible in this picture, but I noticed the light pattern on the passenger side was different to that of the drivers side. On closer inspection it would seem the lens has fallen away from the housing. Is this fixable, am I looking at a new light unit, or would a replacement kit do the job?

Hey, It's 100 percent fixable; might be a pain

So, for me, I had the same problem. What I ended with since my lenses were old and yellow, I wanted to replace them entirely and plus it would help me get into there to move the lens back into position. So I used a heat gun and cut the old lenses out. Now, if you try and reach into it without cutting them open, I am not sure that you can get in there and make a lasting repair, but you most likely can get in there to put it back into position with some sort of long-reach tool. You will most certainly need to pull the headlight out to get back there.

I'd say you need to remove the headlight without dislodging the lens anymore than it is now. Once out, remove the rear cover and remove the bulb holder. Then hopefully use a stick with a small dab of super glue on the end and touch it onto the blanking plate. Once the super glue has gotten hold slide the plate back into the original position and try and get some more glue around the edge of the plate to fix it in place.

Never done it before but it's what I'd try and do.

Thank you very much for the suggestions. The bumper will be coming off and the light will be removed in a couple of weeks, so i'll see if it is possible to do something from the rear access.
