Ok so the adjuster for the leveling is corroded and beyond repair say the garage. Does anybody have a suggestion as to what to do?

In the forsale section there is a thread with someone having fitted the lights below instead of xenons..but when i asked the company they stated that the wiring is different?

Any suggestions?? :( :( :(

Is it the adjuster unit? (part 4 on realoem) http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BT52&mospid=47797&btnr=63_0758&hg=63&fg=05

if so won't an original adjuster be cheaper than another light unit, maybe £60 each? or are other parts defective?

Ok, so I asked which part would need replacing, the guy said that he cant say because he cant get the headlight open. What i'm going to do is pick the car up, and dremmel open the light. Hopefully then either with the help of you good folk on here, or with the mechanic work out what is needed (apparently the light will go side to side but wont level up/down).

My other option - there are some xenon units in Germany for around 250 quid

Ive had a look and will be taking the bumper off tomorrow, but I can see that both lights level automatically and both manually up/down but the white knurled adjusters at the rear of the lights have stripped and are loose ish- will try jamming an allen key in. Ive read pretty much every headlight post made..but am none the wiser  does anyone know of a solution before I crack on tomor?
