Xenon Bulbs

Hi,

Hopefully a simple solution and possibly one answered before.

My left front bulb has gone (the light which is always on) on my Z4 E89, it has xenon headlights.

It looks simple enough to change, when I pop the hood I can see the compartment.

Any advise before I get started and also, what’s the spec of the bulb I should buy as standard?

Thanks in advance.

Tim.

Some would say swap in pairs as there will be a slight colour difference to the old side, an if one's gone the other may go soon, might be worth just swap the working one other to prove it is just the bulb an not the electronic gubbins, also on the head lamp lense it should be embossed with something like D2S an that should be the bulb fitted

If it's the halo bulb look else where on this forum, there are some good aftermarket leds.
Access is via the round thing you see above the lamp housing.
If it's the xenon main beam bulb, i can recommend the Philips xtreme vision. It has to be accessed by removing the wheel arch cover.

Thanks guys,

Just to clarify, are the side lights accessed by the opening the bonnet and the main beam through the wheel arch?

Hi Guys,

After further investigation I have discovered it is the halo light, rather than the dipped beam.

Is anyone able to post a link to a guide on how to replace and perhaps any suggestions on aftermarket bulbs?

Thanks

Tim
