Does anyone use Xcarlink to play music via a usb/SSD port through the standard head unit, you can also pay for BT hands free but it’s not the cheapest on the market approx £130. I want to use it on another car where the single CD player is broken and it mimics a Cd multi changer and would like some feed back or are there better alternatives without changing the head unit?

I do but it's not without issues. The stereo at switch on goes into CD check mode and you need to cycle through the input selector to get it to a "normal" mode. Fast forward/ back works sometimes. It's OK but not exceptional.
