hello
Can anyone tell me if it is worth buying one of
These machines yet or is there still not much difference
In them from the 360
Cheers daz

Depends on what you want it for, the Xbox One, is a great media suite. I love the Kinect functionality, especially the voice commands.

Now media player is out, streaming is good.

Depends on what games you want... to be honest my PS4 was replaced 2 weeks ago as the disc drive failed!! Wasn't happy as I don't even use it that much, I've probably used it for 30hrs total in a year.... I use it just as much as my Z'd

I kinda wish I went with XOne but I do like Last of Us!!

hi. I have had a ps4, didn't get on with the controller and you cant use rechargeable batteries in the controller. Had the xbox one for about a year but still play on my xbox 360 also. There is a difference in graphics with the next gen consoles but not mind blowing.

I got a PS4 at launch, traded it for a XBone about 6months ago. Love the Forza and Halo games so it made sense.

Xbone... Only because of Forza & Forza Horizon.

I left the kinect in the box, you dont really have any need for it if you only play racing games.

cheers guys
i have always been a fan of the xbox machines so i will probably go for one of them shame you dont get the blueray with it but ho hum, might wait a couple of months to see if they get any cheaper after xmas

Daz, it all depends on what your main aim for this machine is. They are both underneath very similar machines except PS4 plays at 1080p where as Xbox upscales from 720p to 1080p. Both have voice commands, unfortunately Sony don't make such a big song and dance about it unlike Microsoft.

Currently PS4 and PS4 games outsell Xbox quite significantly so yes more bargain possibly to be had with the Xbox after xmas, although a lot of good bargains just now.

My other half being a games designer has always had both consoles but after trying both as part of his daily job he made the choice for the PS4 as a gamer but we use ours not only for game play but to play blurays and stream catch up and TV services like now TV, nextflix etc.

If your in no rush then I strongly suggest after xmas getting along to a local GAME store and trying out both for yourself, see what games are about, what takes your fancy and what looks and feels better for you.

Xbox one is blu-ray, just have to download the player from the store for movie playback

PS4 is woeful as a media player, not sure if the Xbox is any better but it certainly can't be any worse ! Might be a consideration if you want to stream media from a PC or NAS.

Ive got a PS4 after owning an XBOX360 for over 6 years. Not used it much and nearly sold it twice becuase of that, however am going to live with it and invest some more time playing it if I can. Getting Destiny and going to hook up with one of my brothers online (a much better exeprience than it used to he on the PS3 which i also owned).

And I hear if you play GTA5 on ot and the police chase you, the controller lights flash red and blue

It does indeed. It changes colour for a few games. It's just a nice little touch. It's the sounds and voices you get coming from the controller that throw me
