Not 100% what you are after, but I thought I would reply anyway. I am selling my Canon 40D with IS Lens 17-85 mm (Great quality lens, much better than the standard one that comes with the 450). Much better built camer, and more sophisticated. Main difference are, that its 10.1 MP (I beleive 450is 12.1), but the sensor quality is better and I have blown many of my pics up to Canvas size with no problems. Also its is slightly biggerand heavier due to the metal body. Mine will be on ebay expecting to get 350 - 400. In good condition, with box and multiple batteries and chargers.
If you are still looking, even if you are not intrested in mine, I would recomend looking at the 40D over the 450D.
