Hi folks,

Following some advice from Terryvision and Beedub, I'm after an OEM aux lead please?

I have an 53plate 3.0 with Nav & 6 cd. I know I'll lose the changer but I'm not fussed. Just need a compatible lead.

Thanks.

You won't loose the changer.... Who told you that?? I have both ;)

Wires from the aux lead are added to the changer plug on the back of the headunit :)

Ahhh okay. I'll use that once I get a lead. Thanks Terry

The lead you need is just under £8 on ebay

Thanks Lynchy.

I've just seen that actually whilst scouring for an OEM but given Terry's comments I'm concerned about the quality. Not that I'm a sound connoisseur or anything but i wouldn't want crackling etc.

Also I've seen in other threads about needing resistors with none oem. No idea!

I'm good with mechanics but audio i suck :headbang:

I've had no problems with mine, sounds ok to me.Like Terry says take out existing pins in original connector and place in the same place in new connector.Hope that makes sense. Its a bit fiddly but if I can do it anyone can

I've brought one through ebay so hopefully it'll all work okay.

I'm a little picky when it comes to sound to be honest! I hope the cheaper cable works out for you :thumbs up:

Thanks again Terry for your advice. It's always good to hear from more people than less! And when I eventually come round to upgrading the sound system properly I now know where to come! :D

You could also try the audiovox media bridge unit if you don't have much luck.. Gives you full handsfree and full function from the standard business stereo!
