Already done. The issue is that the insurer is referring to purchase price as a cap, which is clearly wrong.
The purchase price is irrelevant IMO. I have had two cars written on within 2 months of ownership. On both occasions I obtained settlements above the price I paid.
If you had part exd a car to get the Zed the dealer could have massaged the figures to show a lower purchase price and given you a low trade in. Total would still be the same though as a higher price with higher trade in (Cost to change).
Also as mentioned you no claims should not come into it for non fault claim. If they are hold some back just in case they go 50/50 I doubt you would see it again.
