My wife overheard the BMW sales wallah going on and on about the safety aspect of the runflats - now its runflats only - or a trickle down the Autobahn at 70mph !
 
Put the rft’s in the back garden, fill them with dirt and they make great planters.

And good to know about Fuldas, never heard of them before now, must investigate. :thumbsup:
 
I can only concur, my Bridgestone run-flats have gone to the great recycling centre in the sky and have been replaced by a brand new set of Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 3s. I haven't driven far in the car yet, but it's so much quieter and the rattles and squeaks have gone away.
My repair kit is on it's way but the first thing I saw on getting out of the car was a 1in nail in the road :o

[ref]freemadw[/ref], I've just done the same. Bought a set of those yesterday when I needed to replace the rear tyres. It's incredible how the RFTs made me feel all the bumps in the road, despite never noticing them on the same stretch of road in our 3er with RFTs. (Though that's perhaps due to the longer wheelbase and no adaptive suspension on the 3er.)

I know I should have done it sooner, but I was being tight and waiting until I had to replace the tyres.

I had always intended to replace the Bridgestones, but like you, I was going to run them until the rears needed to be replaced.
I had a Space Grey 23i too - mine turned into a manual 35i :wink:
