Would you drop the roof if covered in brick dust?

Hi all,were having building work done at my place of employment,and all the cars in the car park have brick dust on them :( -it was a hot day the other day and I didn't dare put the roof down for fear of scratching the side windows-would any of you have done the same?-I was gutted as the weather was so nice :roll:
 
Not everyone can do a quick wash near their workplace. You have to make a call on the spot, depending on how fine the dust and how much accumulation. Better safe than sorry I say.
 
Not sure what your brick dust is, but I worked at a new school that was constructed mostly during the winter. The modifiers added to the mortar to allow it to set up in sub freezing weather actually destroyed the metal door frames in two years. Eighth inch steel rotted through like they were severely rusted and they all had to be replaced.
One way or another I would get your Zed thoroughly rinsed and maybe consider a cover or alternative parking location til the work is completed.
 
Personally no I wouldn't, depends on the depth of dust though, could you write your name in it? If so then definitely not. Maybe a stop off at the nearest jet wash and blast it all off.
