Would this be a way around the hosepipe ban?

Its bothering me I'm not going to be able to use a hose pipe to clean my car from April onwards. So just wondering if one of these may 'get around' this ban? After all its not using a hose pipe, it uses its own tank? And ok it won't be as strong as a mains powered washer, but you can make up for that by filling it with hot water :)

Any thoughts?

I may buy this.

I used watering can during the last hosepipe ban, which was not very good.

I may consider this too - at the moment there is 3% cashback through Quidco for Halfords click & collect too... not much but better than a kick up the bum!

Simple will just get the kids to fill up lots and lots of buckets :D

Anyone would think we live in Saudi Arabia!

I have a hozelock portable hose because I've lived in flats and don't have an outside tap and it's great.

Just don't let the OH use it for watering the plants whilst you're out. She turned it the wrong way and snapped the lugs that are needed to open and close it so now I have to use a screwdriver and it's looking a bit battered. (after 4 years)

I might consider one of these powered ones next but the hand pump ones are great.

Stupid thing is using buckets would use more than a controlled hose.
a point made in autocar (or maybe autoexpress) this week... controlled hose 30litres, pressure washer 35litres buckets 110 :o

I would imagine that Mr & Mrs Average would just not bother washing a car ...

Anyone tried this one:

Mobi washer looks better on paper but ?????

I've been using a £10 garden weed sprayer. I broke it about a month ago and need a replacement. Will probably get the Hozelock now and regret it later.

I have the V 15.
its ok, not much pressure but handy for shows with the built in tank.

This looks to be the way forward... sod paying 130 quid, 20 odd quid is more like it as a soloution.

Anyone know how long it could last, the ban that is?

I like the look of this!

I've been using watering cans for the last 5 years. I've got it down to a fine art but it's still at least three.

Think this is the same, just a different colour and wording

Last one was 20 odd years ago in Lincolnshire and that lasted 18 months.....
